When I first met with Julia and Rob, Julia had her heart set on some rustic summer engagement photos. They are planning a downtown wedding for this fall, so they wanted their engagement session to have a completely different feel. Julia even picked out one of the most beautiful spots out by Ghost Lake in the foothills. We were all on pins and needles the afternoon of the session as the forecast was for severe thunderstorms and a terrible hailstorm passed north of the city. But we were very lucky and somehow the storm passed right around the valley and instead gave us the most dramatic skies.
My favourite engagement photos are always ones that reflect something special about the couple. Julia loves horses, so both her and Rob were very excited when we stumbled around these horses grazing by the river. They also brought along a lot of little things that are important to them and commemorate milestones in their relationship.
Kris and I are really looking forward to being a part of Julia and Rob's wedding this Thanksgiving as we get to celebrate our wedding anniversary with them!
