Tammy & Tyler Traditional Calgary Church wedding was such a beautiful combination of all so many things that were important to both their families. It was important to Tammy to wear a beautiful white ballgown. She still wanted to incorporate elements of Indian wedding traditions so her bridesmaids wore stunning yellow saris and henna. Their ceremony included some very unique rituals including washing each others feet and assembling a cross that they will display in their home.
Weather in our city can change on a dime and after a beautiful sunny morning, our portrait time was cut short by one of the most epic hailstorms I have ever seen! Luckily we someone got everyone back their cars before the skies opened up. With most weddings, I would be completely stressed about losing half our portrait time, but it was all meant to be for Tammy and Tyler. Instead of an engagement session, Tammy and Tyler had opted for day after session in the mountains. So they both got back into their wedding attire on Monday and we spent the morning taking incredible portraits in the mountains (stay tune for those photos next week!)
I loved the yellow theme and details that Tammy put together for their wedding day. Yellow is not often used for weddings, but I love all the bright and beautiful details!
Tammy also planned to change out of her stunning gown at the reception and into a fabulous red sparkly gown. By this time the storm had passed but had left behind some awesome dramatic skies which was the perfect way to end their wedding day.
